has come to the attentim of myself, and others, that yourself and Tony Ieddin are not in love. The letters you have been writing to each other have been taking up much space in the SUN. Ivfeel this is not the purpose 'of the SUN. If Mr. Eddin is so interested in having everymehear his View 01 nuclear power, print it up and distribute it on his own. 'Ihere are many morepressing issues to

be discussed than whether or not an article has been published, or whether or not the CADRE Was a good paper. I feel if there

is any more discussion am this topic yourself — (and friends) and 'Dmy Peddin (and friendS) should keep it to your- selves and not in the

.Déar Editor: S'IOP THIS DIALOGIE PLEISE. I had followed with keen interest the dialogue betWeen you and one Tony Reddin regarding-his article on'nuclear energy in the past THREE iSSLBS I read the

enthusiasm as it was news .to me. I am‘ afraid to‘ say that my enthusiasm _ to read this very issue started cbeying the law of diminishing returns as the number of people that got involved in the issue grew over every piblication of the SIN. 'Ihis last publication bored me to death!

I do not know your past experience with Mr. Reddin, but the fact as to whether or not you guys have an axe to grind is beyond all reasonable doubt. I do not wish to go into the pros and cons that I have already gathered fran your lengthy discussion. I wish to plead to you on behalf of myself and all the students ‘ who look upon" the SUN as a source of news and information to stop this dialogue. Use the space for any future letters on

It‘ bothers me to hear people talking of student apathy regarding Student Union activities at UPEI. I think that the attitude of the Student Councillors and executive members in. handling the students is -'

the main reason why most

students are nonchalant about Student Unionism on this campus.

I do not know the UPEISU constitution very well, but I know that we are supposed to have. at least two general meetings every year, one within the first 6 weeks of each semester. If this is true, then what is going on here? Are the executive members - afraid to face the student populace? Your answer is as— right as mine. .-

Just only two more weeks of lectures to go in this semester, yet there has been no general meeting

of the Student Union. How can those of us who are neither councillors nor executive members air our views and get to know what is going on?.

Well, for whatever reason a general meeting has been that delayed, I

been called. After all, how many of the students attend the general meetings when they are called.

Yes, it is afact that not many people atténd these meetings, but 8018 of us do attend, and in fact, I have attended every general meeting that I have ever heard of since I have been on this campus. I feel that the studentsdeserve sate accounts at this stage as to the ocmings and goings of everybody else on the rank and file of the Union officials, and everything else, especially the newly—opened Panther lounge. A general meeting is surely overdue now.
