The Charlottetown Golf Club was organized October 3, 1902, with about sixty members. Tem- porary links of seven holes were laid off at the driving Park and were uSed during the balance of that season. The rules and eti- quette of St. Andrews Scotland Golf Club were adopted.

At the Annual Meeting in Ap- ril, 1903, the Leasing of a tract of land known as Belvedere, about two miles from the city was au- thorized and the erection of a cum House to cost about $500.00. In accordance therewith the land

The minutes of the last meeting were read and. approved the financial report was’giyen. Re- ports were given by the school and sick committees. Correspon- dence was read and discussed.

PAINTER DIES

HANOVER, NJI. (AIP)Maxim Kopf, 65, painter, sculptor and husband of columnist Dorothy Thompson, died Monday at a hospital a few weeks after suf« fering a coronary thrombosis. The Vienna-horn Kopf married Miss Thompson in 1943. He has paintings in six American mus- eums and numerous European museums.
