rural areas, Drifting was quite heavy, the snow being moved by wind which varied from thirty to fifty miles per hour. During most of the day the snow fell while the wind was northeast. The village was without electric power from seven to 10.30 p. m. Monday night due to a breakdown in the power line. The only damage to the tele- phone line was a broken pole in front of'Clerk's Feed Service. A good many citizens who had tic- kets purchased for the Y-Grad’: Fun Parade at the Charlottetown Forum were unable to get/there on account of the roads.
