The teachers and friends of the Acatian schools under the presidency of Inospecter J. U. Arsenault, met in convention at Bloomfield on Thursday aad Friday of last

He spoke of the manner in which they had been treated by their member, Mr. Davies, at Ottawa, who bad paid no attention to the petition fora railway s nt to him at the beginning of the recent session, and of the manner in which the Dominion oftizials | had been deprived of their votes and given them back. The Doctor was most atten- tively listened to throughout, and at the finish was most warmly applauded,

C.: “Mr. Thomas Bradshaw and Mr. Charles Morris have made some rich finds, a few miles from Robsoo, B.C ; in gold, silver, and copper, and alsoa large lime-rock deposit.
