The COMEX “Green Pennant Express” will con— sist of ten buses carrying young people across Canada to present concerts of song, dance, mime and folk stories, with the purpose of en- gendering community partici— pation in this advance.

And applications are now being accepted.

The selection committee will take into consideration a person’s ability to work as a member of a group, partici- pating in concerts (if only as stage hands), discussions

Good health, patience, a sense of humour, and a genuine commitment to the aims and objectives of COMEX are necessary qua— lities for a successful expedition. ' V

The central philosophy of the expedition is to draw on people’s talents and abilities, to share their strengths and accept each other’s weak— nesses. COMEX believes all play a part in individuals’ bringing out the best in one another. ‘

The coSt for each partici— pant is $1550, of which $50

is non-refundable registration fee. The expedition will be

accommodated in schools. gymnasiums, and camp grounds.

Each contingent of 40 will be given a‘daily allowance for food during the trip, which goes from June 20 to August 10, 1984. Groups of 10 will take turns at catering for the contingent.
