LAND ASSESSMENT.

N pursuance of an Act of the General Assembly of this Island,

made and passed in the 'l'wenty-liitn'tli year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled “ An Act relating to the Land Assessment at. present imposed by Law on the Town and Royalty oi l’riiicetown,” and also of an Act made and passed in the Twenty- seventh year of the same reign, iiitituled. " An Act to consolidate and amend the seVeral Laws imposing an Assessment on all Lands in this Colony and tor the enCoui'agcmeiit of Education.”

I do hereby pulilicly iiotily the owners or occupiers of Lands in this Island, for which the annual Assessment or Assessments charged thereon by the said recited Acts, or some one or more of them, of nine shillings and two pence Iawtiil money of this Island fol every hundred notes of wilderness or unimproved Lands, contained in the. SBVel‘tll 'l‘ownships and the Islands belonging thereto; and the sum of six shillings and eight pence ot'like money lor every hundred acres of cultivated or improved Lands in the said several Townships and Islands as aloresaid; and at the rate of nine shillings and two peace of like money per hundred acres for wilderness 0r unimproved Town Lots and Pasture Lots in the Town and Roya Ly of Priiicetown; and at the rate of six shillings and eiin pence oi like money per hundred acres for cultivated or improved Town Lots and Pasture Lots in the Town and Royalty ot' Priiicetown as aforesaid; and the sum of four shillings of like money tor each and every uncultivated or tlnitiipt'oved 'l‘own Lot, Common Lot and \Vater Lot, grant- ed in the Town and Common ol' Charlottetown; and the sum of six shillings of like money for each and every uncultivated or unimproved Pasture Lot in the Royalty ol' Charlottetown; and the sum of four shillings of like money for each and every cultivated or improved l’asture Lot in the Royalty; and the sum of two Shillings and six pence of like money for each and every cultivated or improved 'l‘own Lot and Water Lot in the said Town; and the sum oi two shillings of like money for each and every cultivated or iin- prOVed Uonmion Lot as atiirosaid; and the sum of twu shillings and eight pence ol like money for each and every iincullivated or unim- prole 'l‘own Lot and \Valet' Lot in the Town of Georgetown; and the sum of one shilling and four pence of like money li)!‘ each and every cultivated and iillprtivetl 'l‘own Lot and Water Lot in the last mentioned Town; and the sum of three shillings and four pence of like money lor each and every uncultivated or tiiiiinproVed Pasture Lot in the Royalty of Georgetown: and the sum of two shillings oi like money for each and every cultivated or improved Pasture Lot in the last mentioned Royalty; and the sum of two pence of like money for each and every acre of cultivated or impioved Lands in the Royalty ol‘Georgetown, called Reserved Lands; and the sum ol’three pence oi like money for each and every acre of such last mentioned Lands as may be deemed uncultivated or iiniinproVed Lands; and so in proportion [or a less quantity—is payable; that uiileszi the Assessment or Assessments for the current year, imposed by the said recited Acts, or some one or more of them, he paid into my hands, or the hands of any ol‘ my Deputies, (as required by law,) on or heliire the Sixth day of DECEMBER next, I shall proceed against all such Lands as shall then be in art ear for non-pay- ment of the sums charged thereon. _
