The death occurred at the King's County Hospital. on Aug- ust nth. of Mrs. Lauchlln Bruce. of Milltown Cross, in her 80th year. after a prolonged lllnoaa.

Mrs. Bruce was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Angus MacDonald. or Grandview.

Besides her sot-rowing husband she leaves to mourn her pass- ilg. one daughter. Christie. oi Dayton. Ohio, andione son Dun- can who is on the homestead. Two daughters. Jenny and Mary. predeceased her some time ago.

It was with deep regret that friends in this vicinity learned of the death of this grand old lady. and the sympathy oi! the community is extended to the be- reavcd.

The funeral service will be held from her late residence to- day, with interment in Valley- field cemetery.
