The first period opened slowly with very little snappy ball-handling and practic- ally no sooring punch being exhib- ited by either team, the score read- ing at the end of the period 8 to 4 for P.W.C. Early in the second half the Co-eds startedva scoring bee. which gave them a ten Whit 195d over the Amazons, but they were unable to continue, and the game waxed more furious and intense until two minutes from the final whistle only two points aellflfflted the teams. Things looked pretty good for the "fighting women" at this time, but two nice field goals, one by Helen McKle and one by Lois Miller for the Co-eds shattered their chances and s second later the Miner's whistle brought an end to a very exciting struggle. Remember the score they gave the “Navy7" Watch out, Hi- Y! The game was the first in the Y. House League which promises to bring out a lot of good basketball material this year. Not much need be said about the match except that referee Earl Goss, was right on and no less than six players were oblig- ed ‘to leave the floor for violation of rules.
