Tue Tea at Rustico.—The tea in aid of the Church of England at Rustico, yesterday, was a decided success. No pains were spared by thosein charge to make everything and everybody comfortable. Tnose from towa who attended it expressed themselves as highly pleased with tue manner in which everything was managed. St. Peter's Boys Band went by train to Milton, and were driven thence by truck wagons to the grounds, They ¢dis- coursed excellent music to the picknickers throughout the day, leaving the grounds for the city about 6.30 p. m.

Potsonep.—A New York despatch of the 2ad reports that some 50 or 10 persons were recently poisoned by ice cream purchased at Brinkman’s candy store. Several are danger- ously ill, The cream was made in an unclean freezer of which the lining had worked off, causing metallic poisoning.

A Dublin despatch of the same date says : The wife and four young children of James O'Connor, a member of the editorial statt of United Ireland, were fatally poisoned by eat- ing mussels at Sea Point. Fat River, Mass, July 3. An attachment was placed on the Tri- bune ofiice to-day for $50,000, in a libel suit for that amount brought by Eugene Sullivan, President of the Trades’ Council.
