thousands of caterpillars along the route of the Kensirgton and Pembroke Railway, Ontario. They have destroved all shrubs and grass for miles. One day Jast week while the train was comipg south it had to stop on account of the caterpillars, a short diatance from Ashdad. The rails two or three inches deep. The wheels slid rails, but this,did not enable the train to move fast. Last year the caterpillars were numerous along this line.
