More Bure iaries.—The Summerside Farmer reports burglars operating at Lot 14. A few evening’s ago they visited the resideuce ot Hugh Mclatosh, at that place, and took two firkins and some roils ot. butter, a quantity of bread, a barrel of flour and a Jot of other articles. Later on the same night they breke into Mr. Geo. Monkley’s and took three firkins of butter and about $16 worth of preserves. ‘Lhe wagon tracks and also the footprints of one man in rubbers or rubber boots were traced from both places down to the river, where the goods had evidently been ship- ped upon a boat.

Recexst Fires.—On Saturday moraing Jast, at Squirrel Creek, Lot 12, Mr. Patrick Gouid’e barn and all its contents wee destroyed by fire. His horses were saved with difficulty. It is supposed the fire was Carried to the barn from some burning potato stalks near it. There is no insur ance.

On Monday last the roof of Mr. John Jelly’s house at Linkletter Road was ep- trely destroyed by fire Other damage was done the house, The loss was cover-~ ed by $410 insurance. The fire is suppos- ed to have originated from a defective flue.
