LONDON (AP)—A_ student protest is ruffling tie tradit- ional tailcoats at one of Eng- land's oldest and most elegant boys schools.

Says the Eton College Chronicle: , “With considerable rezret

we feel that school dress has had its day."

The Eton Chronicle is the student publication of Eton College: founded 525 years ago by King Henry VI.

For generations a large proportion of - Britain's p-ime ministers, cabinet members, members of Parliament, lit- erary figures and business and industrial leaders have been Eton graduates.

And for generations Eton students have worn tailcoats, thick button-up vests, stove pipe top tats, starchy while collars and tiny ‘ties.

The Eton Chronicle adds:
