Smith. better known to thestregoers of the Maritimes as Mae Edwards, and who is well known in Charlottetown, died recently after a. lingering flness, at her home in Lindsay, Ontario, sc- cordlng to word reaching Saint John where her shows were a. popular attraction and she enjoyed the hospitality of many friends on her several visits. The last appear- ance of her company in New Bruns- wick featured an orchestra in which both her husband and her son, Valmom, who servive iier, were members.
